Michelle Gomez - Multiple Missy Mischief...


Following the launch of Character Options’ double helping of Exclusive Doctor Who Missy Figures last week, the actress who plays Missy, Michelle Gomez, has been photographed with her miniature alter egos. 

When coming face to face with the figures whilst in New York last week Michelle said:  ‘I absolutely adore my new figure! I can just imagine thousands of Missy’s taking over the world one very small step at a time’.

Character's Product Development Director, Alisdair Dewar added: "Working with Michele Gomez has been so much fun; she was one of the best subjects we’ve ever scanned, patiently holding the perfect pose in both positions for a long period of time. We know that many collectors have been waiting to see if Missy would be included within our collection, it’s great for her finally come to fruition.

"The Magician's Apprentice" - Consolidated Viewing Figures


"The Magician's Apprentice" has a consolidated 7 day rating of 6.54 million (7.33 million if you include the repeats) - an increase of 1.96 million from the initial overnight figure of 4.58 million.

This puts the episode fourth for the week on BBC1.

This figure includes those who recorded and watched the show within one week of transmission - plus iplayer views through televisions.  It does not include pc/laptop, tablets or smartphones - those figures will be released by BARB in their Online TV Player Report on Wednesday.

Currently, "The Magician's Apprentice" has 1.53 million download requests on BBC iplayer.

"The Witch's Familiar" - AI Score & Ratings Update


"The Witch's Familiar" had an Audience Appreciation Index (AI) score of 83 ("The Magician's Apprentice" was 84).  Series 8 achieved an average score of 83.3.

The Audience Appreciation Index (AI) is a score out of 100 which is used as an indicator of the public’s appreciation for a show. Over 90 is considered exceptional, 85 or over is excellent, 60 or less is poor, and less than 55 is very poor.

Figures also show that over 1 million watched "The Witch's Familiar" on catch-up on Sunday, raising the viewing figure from 3.70 million to 4.80 million.

The omnibus edition of "The Magician's Apprentice/The Witch's Familiar" had an audience of 0.64 million - the Scotland v USA match on ITV at the same time had 2.1 million viewers.

Videos - More Doctor Who Extra for "The Witch's Familiar"

The BBC have released four more "Doctor Who Extra" videos for "The Witch's Familiar":











"The Witch's Familiar" - Overnight Ratings


The overnight viewing figures show that 3.7 million tuned in for "The Witch's Familiar" - that's a 16.6% audience share.

Doctor Who was hugely affected by being scheduled opposite the England V Wales Rugby World Cup match which drew an average of 8.30 million.

The consolidated figures will be released next week - and there's also the omnibus edition at 3.15pm today to take into account.

The BBC have revealed the synopsis for episode 4 of Series 9 - "Before the Flood" - which will air on BBC 1 on Saturday 10 October 2015 at a time yet to be confirmed:
