Doctor Who Series 11 - New Image, Episode Title and Synopsis Revealed

The BBC have released the new image above together with some further details about Series 11 - which airs on BBC1 on Sunday 7th October 2018:

Episode One - The Woman Who Fell To Earth

“We don’t get aliens in Sheffield.” In a South Yorkshire city, Ryan Sinclair, Yasmin Khan and Graham O’Brien are about to have their lives changed forever, as a mysterious woman, unable to remember her own name, falls from the night sky. Can they believe a word she says? And can she help solve the strange events taking place across the city?

Synopsis & Promo Images - Jemma Redgrave - Holby City - Series 20, Episode 24

The BBC have released the synopsis plus promo images for Holby City - Series 20, Episode 24 - which, of course, features the return (for a couple of episodes) of Jemma Redgrave.  The episode airs on BBC1 at 8pm on Tuesday 12 June 2018.

The episode is titled “Primum Non Nocere -Part One.”

Desperate to prove her worth, Meena prepares a bespoke care plan for Gaskell’s next patient – Jac. 

But while researching previous cases Meena discovers more than she bargained for. Dare she raise her concerns with the great Professor Gaskell? And has she taken her eye off the ball elsewhere? 

Bernie’s trauma ward in Nairobi is ready to open and she wants Serena by her side. But with Holby still in recovery and Jason and Greta’s baby on the way, can Serena choose between the woman she loves and the family she’s devoted to? 

When Abigail invites Fletch on a weekend away he wonders if she’s taking their relationship to the next level. This was just a bit of fun… wasn’t it?

Series 10 - New Teaser and "The Pilot" Synopsis

The BBC have released the synopsis for the first episode of Series 10 - "The Pilot" - together with a short Series 10 teaser video.  "The Pilot" will air on BBC1 on Saturday 15 April 2017.

The Pilot. Two worlds collide when the Doctor meets Bill. 

A chance encounter with a girl with a star in her eye leads to a terrifying chase across time and space. Bill’s mind is opened to a Universe that is bigger and more exciting than she could possibly have imagined - but who is the Doctor, and what is his secret mission with Nardole on Earth?

When Mr T’s sister Delwen is brought in for treatment on Darwin, she’s suspicious that Mo isn’t being entirely truthful with her brother about the baby. Adamant that Mo wouldn’t lie to him, Mr T makes a big request of Mo that she just can’t refuse. 

Hanssen offers Bernie the chance to fulfil a secondment in Ukraine but Serena is desperate for her to stay. Bernie is forced to assess her true feelings and comes to a dramatic decision. 

Isaac asks Dom to move in with him… and out from his flat with Zosia. When it comes to telling Zosia about his plans, Dom struggles to come clean, leaving her to find out second hand from Isaac.

The BBC have released 2 new sneak peek promo images from "Holby City" series 18, episode 44 - "Indefensible" which will air on BBC1 on Thursday 4 August 2016 at 8pm.  Both images feature Jemma Redgrave and the full size versions are in the Who-Natic Gallery.

Bernie's son Cameron comes crashing into the hospital, forcing Bernie to face some home truths about her poor parenting. When Cameron then asks Bernie to lie for him about a serious car accident, she finds it harder than ever to refuse him. 

Sacha and Essie disagree over a patient, but it soon becomes clear the tension is not just professional but personal too. With the return of pharmacist Mel serving as a reminder of Ivor's death several weeks ago, will the strain on their relationship prove too much? 

Morven arrives at Holby on her day off, keen to avoid another day alone grieving in her flat. When she's thrown together with Jasmine, who happens to be in need of somewhere to live, Morven questions whether she could share a flat with someone apparently so different to her.

When long-term Herzig patient Lexy is re-admitted, Oliver is at pains to diagnose the problem. In turn, Lexy diagnoses his own romantic malaise, recommending he move on romantically from Zosia. 

With Jason on the ward for a day in his capacity as clinical audit assistant, Serena is keen to keep a watchful eye on him. However, it's a shock when she finds herself under the professional microscope. Will she be found wanting?

Fletch is delighted when gorgeous new psych Naomi Palmer joins Holby. Their chemistry is palpable, and her presence polarises the duo - Raf can see that Fletch is favouring time with Naomi over work and family commitments… 

Zosia struggles to come to terms with Arthur’s ongoing treatment and is late for work as she accompanies him to chemo. On the ward, Ollie notices that she’s not herself and tries to keep her positive and upbeat but she continues to bury her head in the sand until she eventually cracks…

Morven's dad Austin now has end-stage liver disease. It's clear he needs a transplant today or he'll die. Arthur's still recuperating himself and is exhausted, but he refuses to rest until Austin gets the treatment he needs. 

Zosia finds herself unable to engage with Arthur, as Dominic struggles to care for him alone. She displaces her helplessness over Arthur's illness by persuading a terminal patient to be a guinea pig for Jac's new stent. 

Bernie's thrown when she's served with divorce papers and finds her ex is going for the jugular. But the AAU family gather round to lift her spirits and show her she's not alone.

The Synopsis and promo images for "Holby City" Series 18, Episode 28 - "Prioritise the Heart" - have been released.  There are 2 promo images featuring Jemma Redgrave - full size versions in the Who-Natic Gallery.  As for the synopsis ... well, those on tumblr discussing this seem to have nailed it from Jemma's first episode so gold stars all around I think!

Bernie's comfortable life is thrown into turmoil when she finds herself working alongside an old army colleague. They had an affair whilst in the army and it's clear they're still very much in love. But will Bernie choose to pursue the love of her life or stick to the relative safety of her family? 

Serena is all set to embark upon a new chapter with Robbie, as they move in together. But when she compares her perfect future with the bleak one Jason is faced with, Serena finds herself having to make a heartbreaking choice. 

It's Mo's first day as a consultant on Darwin and she's putting herself very much in charge. When she clashes with Mr T over the correct care plan for a pregnant patient, Mr T must find his voice and prove himself as her equal.

Arthur's dream of becoming a live donor for Morven's father receives a damaging setback. Meanwhile, Serena must decide if she's going to fully accept Jason into her family or not. And it's Bernie's first day as a civilian doctor, but will she be able to leave the army rules behind?

Note - Jemma is not in the cast list for Episode 19 ("All That Glitters") which airs on Tuesday 16 February 2016 - and if you've seen this week's episode then I'm sure you can see why.

Christmas 2015: "The Husbands of River Song" - Poster and Synopsis Revealed

The BBC have revealed the title - "The Husbands of River Song" - for the 2015 Christmas Special, together with the "Official Poster" (full size version of the above poster is in the Who-Natic Gallery) and a new official synopsis:

It’s Christmas Day on a remote human colony and the Doctor is hiding from Christmas Carols and Comedy Antlers. But when a crashed spaceship calls upon the Doctor for help, he finds himself recruited into River Song’s squad and hurled into a fast and frantic chase across the galaxy. King Hydroflax (Greg Davies) is furious, and his giant Robot bodyguard is out-of-control and coming for them all! Will Nardole (Matt Lucas) survive? And when will River Song work out who the Doctor is?

All will be revealed on a starliner full of galactic super-villains and a destination the Doctor has been avoiding for a very long time.

It's not just me, is it?  But in the official poster above, whilst the Twelfth Doctor seems to be brandishing a new Sonic Screwdriver...River Song appears to have armed herself with a pizza cutter...

King Hydroflax (Greg Davies) is furious, and his giant Robot bodyguard is out-of-control and coming for them all! Will Nardole (Matt Lucas) survive? And when will River Song work out who the Doctor is? 

All will be revealed on a starliner full of galactic super-villains and a destination the Doctor has been avoiding for a very long time.

"Hell Bent" - Finale Synopsis

Hot on the heels of the "Heaven Sent" transmission time and promo image, we now have the synopsis for the finale, "Hell Bent" which will air on Saturday 5 December 2015.  Brace yourselves...

"Heaven Sent" - Transmission Time, Synopsis and New Promo Image
