"Robot of Sherwood" - Consolidated Viewing Figures

The consolidated viewing figures for "Robot of Sherwood" give the episode a final rating of 7.28million - which is an increase of 2.06million from the overnight figure of 5.22million.

With the first three episodes of Series 8 showing a huge timeshift, it makes the overnight ratings practically meaningless.

Please note that this figure includes UK viewers who watched the episode in the first 7 days after transmission - it does not include those who watched it on iplayer via computers or tablets (although apparently BARB are working on it).

"Robot of Sherwood" - Overnight Ratings

"Robot of Sherwood" achieved an overnight figure of 5.2million - the same as "Into the Dalek" - with a 25.4% share of the total audience.

"Robot of Sherwood" was the highest rated BBC programme and second overall behind "The X Factor".

Consolidated figures should be available next week.

The BBC have released a second preview clip from "Robot of Sherwood" - this one is called "The Sheriff and Robin's Battle":

"Robot of Sherwood" Scene Edited by BBC "Out of Respect"

The BBC have edited out a beheading sequence from Saturday's "Robot of Sherwood" episode "out of respect" following recent events in Iraq and Syria.

The Radio Times stated that "the edit has been made to remove a decapitation in the climatic fight scene between Robin Hood and the Sheriff; something that could be deemed insensitive after two US journalists were killed by IS (Islamic State) militants in the past month."

A BBC Spokesman said: "In light of recent news events, we have made an edit to episode three out of respect."
