Sometimes the BBC could easily rival MI5 with their attitude to secrecy - schedules and transmission dates especially. We've been waiting on confirmation of a UK transmission date for "Bert and Dickie" for months - and finally, it appears to be confirmed.
It's not on the BBC Media Centre/Press Office yet, but about an hour ago, one of the BBC drama personnel tweeted the above photo. Tom Spilsbury of DWM has also just tweeted: "Bert and Dickie, starring Matt Smith, will air on Wednesday 25 July. At last!"
I'm taking this as the best confirmation we'll get short of an actual press release from the BBC Press Office.
So. "Bert and Dickie" - Wednesday 25 July 2012 at 8.30pm on BBC1.
