Five BAFTA Cymru Award Nominations for Doctor Who


The nominations have been announced today for the BAFTA Cymru Awards 2015.  The ceremony will take place on Sunday 27 September 2015 at St David's Hall, Cardiff and "Doctor Who" is nominated in 5 categories:

Best Actress - Jenna Coleman - "Kill the Moon"

Best Actor - Peter Capaldi - "Dark Water"

Editing - Will Oswald - "Dark Water"

Special and Visual Effects - "Last Christmas"

Titles and Graphic Identity - "Deep Breath"

Congratulations and good luck to Peter Capaldi, Jenna Coleman and the Doctor Who Production Team.

"Kill the Moon" - Consolidated Viewing Figures


The Consolidated figures for "Kill the Moon" have been released and show another large timeshift audience of 2.09million, increasing the overnight figure of 4.82million to a consolidated figure of 6.91million.

Please note that this figure includes UK viewers who watched the episode in the first 7 days after transmission - it does not include those who watched it on iplayer via computers or tablets.

You have to wonder whether the BBC forgot to upload this as the "introduction" video last week and have now simply changed it to a "reflection"...

"Kill the Moon" - Overnight Ratings


"Kill the Moon" achieved an overnight rating of 4.82million viewers - slightly less than "The Caretaker" which managed 4.89million.

As usual, "Doctor Who" was the third most watched programme of the day being "Strictly Come Dancing" and "The X Factor".

Expect the consolidateds - which will be released next week - to be around 7million.

"Kill the Moon" - Official Synopsis


The BBC have released the synopsis for "Kill the Moon" which will air on BBC1 on Saturday 4 October 2014. 

In the near future, the Doctor and Clara find themselves on a space shuttle making a suicide mission to the Moon.
Crash-landing on the lunar surface, they find a mining base full of corpses, vicious spider-like creatures poised to attack, and a terrible dilemma.
When Clara turns to the Doctor for help, she gets the shock of her life.

"Kill the Moon" is written by Peter Harness and guest stars Hermione Norris.
