"Doctor Who" was obviously discussed and Matt revealed that he'd never watched an episode of "Doctor Who" before he got the role - informing the casting team of this by saying that "Doctor Who's on at 7 o'clock on a Saturday night. I'm in a boozer then".
He speaks of the show in glowing terms: “It’s the greatest part of my life. It was one of the greatest experiences of my life. I loved every minute of it.”
Amongst other things discussed were his football ambitions, university, family and, of course, "The Crown".
