Cardiff Screening of Recently Recovered Episodes

According to Edward Russell on twitter, BAFTA Wales will be screening the two recently recovered episodes - "Galaxy 4" Episode 3 and "Underwater Menace" Episode 2 - on 9 May 2012 in the Chapter Cinema. Peter Purves, Anneka Wills, Frazer Hines plus a guest from current production will be in attendance and there will be a interview panel after the screening.

Two Classic Episodes Returned to the BBC

The BBC have confirmed that 2 formerly missing Doctor Who episodes have been returned to their archives. The episodes are "Galaxy Four" episode 3 and "The Underwater Menace" episode 2. It's always cause for celebration when one episode is returned...and it's almost unheard of for two episodes to find their way back.

The Radio Times article - "Two Long-Lost episodes recovered" is a fantastic read and shows how these episodes came to light. The episodes were screened as a surprise at the BFI this evening.

Let's hope for more finds in the near future - and look forward to a possible "Missing Episodes" DVD release perhaps?
