The consolidated viewing figures for "Into the Dalek" give the episode a final rating of 7.29million - which is an increase of 2.09million from the overnight figure of 5.2million. Proof, I think, should any be needed, that timeshifting is now a huge part of "Doctor Who" ratings.
Please note that this figure includes UK viewers who watched the episode in the first 7 days after transmission - it does not include those who watched it on iplayer via computers or tablets.
