Kenneth Branagh and Alex Kingston to take "Macbeth" to New York

The New York Times is reporting that Kenneth Branagh and Rob Ashford's production of "Macbeth" - first seen at the Manchester International Festival and broadcast live in cinemas via NTLive - will be taken to New York in 2014.  It will take place in the 55,000 square-foot space in the Park Avenue Armory's Drill Hall.  Both Kenneth Branagh and Alex Kingston will make their New York stage debuts in the play.

Rebecca Robertson, the president and executive producer of the Park Avenue Armory, said, “We are ecstatic to collaborate with Rob Ashford and Kenneth Branagh, combining their incredible vision with our unconventional space and military history to allow audiences to relive this timeless story in a remarkable new way.”

The production is expected to premiere in June 2014 and details about scheduling and tickets can be found at armoryonpark.org
